Set against an unbeatable backdrop on the beach at Bigbury, with Burgh Island on one side and Bantham to to the other, our wood-fired sauna is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. We’re open throughout the year from Friday to Sunday and on request for alternative days, group bookings and events. The converted horse box was beautifully designed by Sam, and carefully crafted by the very skilled Andrew during the summer of 2025. Steam Works isn’t just about heat, it’s about the connection between warmth and cold water, land and sea, meeting people, making friends, sharing stories and having an unforgettable experience. Given the sauna’s location, on the rare ocassion, we may have to move or close due to high tides or storms.
